There was an accident at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome this past Sunday. The pilot, Vincent Nasta was killed in a crash durning the WWI airshow. I didn’t know him personally, but I want to express my heartfelt condolences to the Nasta family and his friends at the Aerodrome. I believe it was Mr. Nasta who took my son Evan on his first flight.

Official Aerodrome Statement
What a tragedy. The world has lost a wonderful humanitarian and human being…Sorry, the photo shown is not Vinny
The picture on your ste is not one of Vinny Nasta. He was a childhood friend who was one of the most talented, kind and passionate people I knew. The world is a little less bright without him in it.

Sean,
I’ll ask my wife if this is Vinny. We both grew-up w/him in Mastic Beach, NY. (School mates.)
I moved away right after High School but my wife kept in touch with old school mates. I know Vinny was one of them.
It doesn’t look like Vinny but it just may be a really bad shot of him. You can check out http://www.vinnynasta.com
He was a great artist in addition to his other many talents and a really nice guy. William Floyd hs class of ’79. He will be sorely missed.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I do think the picture I had up was Mr. Nasta, but since it wasn’t a good shot, and I didn’t get any confirmation, I’ve changed the image.
